Wanted gangster arrested with accomplice in Gurgaon

A wanted gangster and his accomplice were arrested after a brief encounter on the Dwarka Expressway here, police said today.

Amit Dagar (31), a sharp-shooter of the notorious Kaushal gang, and his accomplice Anil were arrested last night, Gurgaon Police PRO Subhash Bokan said.

Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted the accused on the Dwarka Expressway and a brief encounter ensued in which Dagar sustained a bullet injury to his leg, the official said.

Dagar had a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head and was involved in multiple cases of heinous crimes, including murder, extortion, kidnapping, contract killing, gangster acts and others, he said.

He was earlier involved in the killing of dreaded criminal, Mahesh, of his rival gang, here and had also killed a revenue officer of Haryana, Bokan said.
