According to the Union Water Resources Ministry, 60.906 billion cubic metres (BCM) of water was available in these reservoirs for the week ending on March 9.
As on March 2, the storage was 41 per cent or 64.55 BCM of the total capacity of 157.799 BCM.
The March 9 stock is 132 per cent of the storage reported during the corresponding period last year and 101 per cent of the decadal average, the ministry said in a statement.
Punjab, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana have reported a better stock compared to last year.
