WB announces compensation for Makra clash victims

West Bengal government today announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the family of each of those killed in the political clash at Makra village in Birbhum district on October 27.
District Magistrate P Mohangandhi said, "We have received an order to give an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh for each family of those who have died."
Three persons were killed and as many injured when Trinamool Congress and BJP supporters fought a gun battle at Makra when Prohibitory Orders under Section 144 CrOC was clamped in the area.
