WBHRC directs DIG to enquire gangrape incident

The West Bengal Human Rights Commission (WBHRC) today directed the DIG of police, South Bengal, to enquire into the incident of gangrape of a teenager.
"We have asked the DIG to enquire the incident and asked him to submit a report to us within two weeks," WBHRC chairman Justice (retd) Ashok Ganguly told PTI here.
The teenaged girl was gangraped at Pauli village near district headquarter Barasat in North 24 Paraganas last week.
She was allegedly kidnapped by the main accused again when she was returning home with her parents after a medical examination.
The main accused Chottu Talukdar and co-accused Palash Debnath have been arrested last night.
Three other accused are still at large.
