West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi tonight hosted a gala dinner for visiting Bangladesh Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina at Raj Bhawan here.
Chief Minster Mamata Banerjee was present at the dinner, Raj Bhawan sources said.
Along with the Bangladesh PM, her younger sister Rehana Siddiqui, senior officials of her government, and educationists from Dhaka University and National University also attended the event.
Several Bengali delicacies -- chital fish, hilsha, alu posto, mochar cutlet, rasagolla and sondesh were part of the menu, they said.
State Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee, Finance Minister Amit Mitra, Education Minister Partha Chatterjee, Leader of Opposition Abdul Mannan, Chief Secretary Malay De and Home Secretary Atri Bhattacharya were among other senior officials to dine with Hasina.
