Wheat procurement: Farmers stage protest in Punjab

Farmers today blocked traffic on the Moga-Amritsar national highway for over four hours alleging that procurement agencies failed in lifting their produce from markets.
The protest by the farmers was held at Munan and Janer villages on the national highway.
They alleged that officials of the warehousing corporation had refused to enter the markets and procure their produce despite the Centre already relaxing quality norms for the procurement of wheat.
