The news comes after rumours swirled on social media last week that the show's judge Christina Aguilera would perform a duet with a 3D moving image of late singer Houston, reported Entertainment Tonight.
Aguilera, however, declined to address the speculation but promised a grand finale this season - which will air on May 24.
"I am sworn to secrecy," the "Fighter" singer said.
"I can't say anything, but I'm very excited about the finale. Very exciting things happening," she added.
A world tour helmed by the hologram of the "How Will I Know" singer was announced last year by Hologram USA in partnership with Houston's sister, Pat Houston.
In 2014, the Billboard Music Awards used the hologram method to resurrect pop star Michael Jackson.
Last month, it was announced a hologram tour was in the works with the late rapper Notorious B.I.G.
