The summit is expected to be attended by over 23 business heads including Kunal Shah, founder of FreeCharge, Bharati Jacob the Co-founder of Seed Fund and Arundhati Bhattacharya - Chair-Managing director of the State Bank of India among others.
The two-day summit will begin with Wharton India Startup Competition (WISC) followed by a speaker series, a statement from WIEF said.
WIEF revealed that this year over 25 per cent of applicants for the startup Competition are from the e-commerce industry, with the healthcare segment coming to a close second with 22 per cent.
A majority of the participants already have closed in on their pre-seeded and seeded funding arrangements with around 31 per cent who have listed themselves as social enterprises, the statement said.
