Police said the woman's husband was attacked by two motorcycle born persons on January 10 night, leaving him with head injuries and a cut on the finger of his left hand, requiring hospitalisation.
Investigations led to the arrest of his wife, who confessed to have plotted to kill her husband, police said.
She told police that her former paramour had paid Rs two lakh to a man to attack her husband.
The woman told police she had been forced into marriage though she wanted to tie the knot with her former lover, with whom she was in love with since her college days and that she was continuing her affair with him.
