In a letter to Chouhan, Congress's Leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly, Satyadev Katare took exception to use of water cannons to quell a protest led by him.
The Youth Congress had organised the protest against the MPPEB scam outside the Chief Minister's residence on June 27, but were stopped by the police which carried out a cane- charge and used water cannons to disperse them.
The Leader of Opposition said that the agitation will continue and Congress will continue to press for the resignation of Chouhan.
The copies of the letter were also sent to President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav.
