Witherspoon to guest star in 'The Mindy Project' final season

Actor Reese Witherspoon is all set to feature in a guest role in the final season of "The Mindy Project".
The gig reunites the 41-year-old actor with her "Wrinkle in Time" co-star Mindy Kaling.
Kaling took to Instagram to make the announcement, where she posted a picture of her with the "Big Little Lies" actor, referring to their time together on the sets of the upcoming Disney film.
"Our latest 'The Mindy Project' guest star is the only woman I would want to be trapped in a cave with. (This is weirdly the second cave we have acted in together!)" she captioned the image.

Earlier, on season three of the show, Kaling's character Dr Mindy Lahiri had famously made a "Wreath Witherspoon," which was a wreath featuring images of the Oscar-winning actor.
The gag got viral online, with even Witherspoon posting about the surprising holiday trend, where she reshared one of Kaling's posts.

Previously, several A-listers such as Seth Rogen, James Franco, Shonda Rhimes, Freida Pinto, Stephen Colbert, Greta Gerwig, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Laverne Cox have also appeared on "The Mindy Project".
Besides Witherspoon, "Modern Family" star Julie Bowen also guest stars in the show's last season.
The final installment of "The Mindy Project" kicks off September 12 on Hulu.
