Wockhardt Q3 net down 82.44% at Rs 60.97 crore

Pharmaceuticals major Wockhardt Ltd today reported an 82.44 per cent decline in consolidated net profit at Rs 60.97 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015.
It had posted a net profit of Rs 347.25 crore in the October-December quarter of 2014-15.
Wockhardt's net sales during the quarter under review were at Rs 1,075.77 crore, down 22.16 per cent from Rs 1,382.05 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Overall expenses during the third quarter of the current fiscal were at Rs 1,035.47 crore, up 8.29 per cent, compared with Rs 956.13 crore a year ago.

Wockhardt shares closed at Rs 875.40 apiece, down 8.37 per cent, from their previous close on the BSE.
