The woman, a divorcee and a mother of five-year-old boy, moved the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Ruchika Singla for directions to the police to register an FIR against one Yuvraj Singhania who allegedly cheated her of Rs 60,000 on the pretext of marriage.
She alleged the accused targets divorced women or single mothers.
The woman in her complaint alleged that being a divorcee, she started searching for a match on a matrimonial website secondshadi.Com in March.
Both started talking on telephone and the accused convinced her that he would keep her son as his own child and after trapping her emotionally, the accused started demanding money from her.
