The woman told police the two had met at Pune and later shifted to Delhi around seven months ago, following which they rented a house in Uttam Nagar area.
When the woman went home to Tamil Nadu recently, she alleged that the accused stopped taking her calls and once she returned he allegedly refused to marry her.
A case under relevant IPC sections has been registered and the matter is being investigated, a senior official said.
