Woman beaten up by in-laws over dowry

A woman was allegedly beaten up by her in-laws for not bringing dowry, police said today.
The victim, identified as Ratinder Kaur, was admitted to a hospital in serious condition with severe head injuries, police said.
Ratinder and Amandeep Singh had gotten married a year back. She was constantly harassed by her in-laws for dowry, police said.
Two days back, she was again thrashed by her husband and in-laws after which she was admitted to hospital, police said, adding, her husband and other family members had been booked under section 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC.
