Woman beaten up for resisting eve-teasing attempt

A 26-year-old woman was allegedly beaten up by two youths when she resisted their eve teasing attempts, police said today.
The incident occurred last evening at Minaxi Chowk here when the woman, working in the Income Tax Department office, was returning home on her two-wheeler, they said.
Two bike-borne youth intercepted the victim's vehicle and eve-teased her. When she didn't pay heed to their advances, she was beaten up, they said.
The victim sustained injuries in the process and was rushed to a hospital, they added.
A case has been registered against two unidentified youths, who are absconding, police said.
