Woman commits suicide after man refuses to marry her in UP

A woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with from the fan when the man she was engaged refused to marry her in Ishapur village of Laxmi Nagar.
Manju was engaged to Om praksh who had advanced the date of marriage on the plea that he would marry her after his selection in the army and refused later, Dy SP R K Gautam said.
Manju's father has alleged in an FIR that he had come yesterday to his place and placed a heavy dowry as a pre-conditon for the marriage and on denial of dowry he refused to marry.
The case would be investigated and Om Prakash would also be interrogated, he said.
