As per a complaint by Ompal Singh, Renu's father, his daughter was beaten to death by her husband and her in-laws over dowry in Meerut yesterday, Station House Officer of Khatauli police station, Sunil Kumar said.
She got married to Kapil Kumar, a computer engineer, in 2014, the SHO said.
Renu, posted at Khatauli police station, was admitted to Anand Hospital in Meerut by her in-laws where she died yesterday, he said.
Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered against Kapil, his father Virendra, mother Kusum and brother Vikrant, he said.
