The sentence was handed out by Additional Session Judge Madhusudan Sharma yesterday against Radhabai under section 302 of the IPC, prosecution said today.
Radhabai had severed her husband Radheshyam Yadav's head with a sharp-edged weapon after a dispute on October 1, 2010 at Urkhedi village in the district.
Later, the deceased family members filed a complaint with the local police station after which she was arrested.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on her.
