Woman, grandson killed in road mishap

An elderly woman and her grand son were knocked down and killed by a SUV on NH 6 in Howrah district this evening.
Police said the Kolkata-bound vehicle, moving at a high speed, run over and killed the 55-year old and her eight year old grand son as the duo were crossing the arterial highway.
The car has been impounded but the driver escaped.
