Woman home guard found dead

A woman home guard was allegedly killed today today in Medchal area here, police said.

S Navnitha, aged around 45, attached to Medchal police station, was found murdered with head injuries, Medchal Inspector M Prabhakar Reddy said.

"The woman home guard had left her house last evening and neither returned to house nor reported to duty today. Following a complaint, a search was launched and her body was found in an open ground," the police officer said.

It is suspected that unidentified persons killed her, he said, adding, a case of murder was registered and further probe was on.
