Anisha immolated herself in the temple premises last evening at around 5 PM after pouring kerosene oil, police said.
She was living in Pataudi city and was a post graduate student at a private college in Rewari. The woman was reportedly influenced by lord Shiva.
"On Friday, she came for worship here and later set herself on fire. Priest of temple tried to save her and informed the police, but she had already sustained50-60 per cent burn injuries.
A suicide note was recovered from the spot in which she wrote, "in this birth I could not meet you lord Shiv, but in next birth, I surely would meet you", the officer said.
We are investigating the case, he said, adding the body has been sent for post mortem.
