The victim identified as Sarita was attacked with a hammer by her husband Ramendra Verma in Koyalbagh locality yesterday.
Sarita's family members have lodged an FIR against seven persons, including Ramendra, in this regard.
Her father Kanhaiyalal has alleged that the accused was an alcoholic and used to torture his daughter dowry, they said.
Sarita got married to Ramendra in 2008 and the couple has a four-year-old son, said police.
