As per a complaint filed by the woman's mother, her daughter Sajal Kumari was killed late on Tuesday night by her husband and in-laws for their dowry demand, they said.
Later, the accused performed her last rites, police said, adding that following which they absconded from the village.
Sajal, who hails from Farrukhabad, married Mukesh Kumar four years ago and since then her husband and in-laws used to harass, beat her up and demand a motorcycle, the complaint alleged.
Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered against Mukesh, in-laws Naresh, Rohitash, Kamlesh, Ganesh and Surendra, they said.
