According to police the deceased's head was smashed with stones.
The incident took place last night when a woman identified as Anita (30) along with her paramour hatched a conspiracy to kill her husband along with two others, Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Anurag Sujania said.
The woman was allegedly having an affair with one Rajesh Lodhi from the same village and her husband Gaurishankar Lodhi (35) came to know about it which resulted in dispute between them, he said.
As part of the plan, Anita pretended to have a chest pain around 9 PM, following which Gaurishankar took her on motorcycle to Bhounti government hospital, said the official.
On the way Rajesh along with two others identified as Kamal Singh and Jagbhan Lodhi stopped them and started beating Gaurishankar.
Later, in front of Anita they smashed his head with stones killing him on the spot, Sujania said.
Later when the woman told police that unidentified persons had robbed her and killed her husband, cops got suspicious and took her into custody following which she broke down and revealed the plot, said the official.
The woman has a six-year-old girl and a 10-year-old son, the official added.
