Woman kills self after husband dies in factory

A 40-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by drinking acid at her home today, two days after her husband died while working at a factory in south-west Delhi's cantonment area.
The couple had two children and they lived in Kakrolla area.
Asha Devi's husband Sohan Singh died on May 12 at a factory after a heavy machine fell on his head, police said.
The woman went into depression and took the extreme step today.
"Asha consumed acid in Kakrolla area when no one was at her home. Her elder son spotted Asha lying on floor. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead," said a police officer.

No suicide note was found from the home, the police officer said, adding, post mortem examination report is awaited.
The officer also said that owner of the factory has been arrested for negligence and further probe is on.
