Woman kills self along with 5 daughters in Raj

A 35-year-old woman along with her five daughters allegedly committed suicide by apparently consuming poisonous substance in Mordunga village here today, police said.
Banarasi Devi, mother of seven girls, consumed poison with her five daughters -- Krishna (18), Suman (16), Sushila (14), Tara (12) and 8-month-old Komal -- when her husband was not present in the house located in a farm, Additional SP Prakash Sharma said.
"Her husband Kanaram Balai had gone to market and when he returned home, his wife and five daughters were lying in unconscious state with froth at the mouth. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were declared dead," another police official said.

Her remaining two daughters, aged 5 years and 3 years, did not consume the poison.
Reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, he said, adding, the matter is being investigated.
