At least two persons were involved in the crime that occurred on May 30, said sub-inspector Aparna Whatkar of Navghar police station.
Police said that the woman had named one Deepak (full name not known) and another unidentified man in her complaint.
Police said the unidentified person put revolver to her head while Deepak allegedly raped her.
The incident occurred at a place opposite an ATM near the railway station, at around 1400 hours.
However, police did not elaborate on whether the duo were known to the woman or they had waylaid her.
