The woman, who was engaged to a villager, had a fight with him following which she went to stay with her parents, sub-inspector Vijay Deshmukh of Kasa police station said.
The victim filed a police complaint in this connection on July 2.
On June 30, while she was at her parents' place, the accused, identified as Sanjay Tala, 22, offered to take her back to her fiance and settle their differences, he said.
The woman's parents, however, refused Tala to take their daughter as it was quite late in the night but he was adamant and managed to persuade the woman to travel to her fiance's place, which was only 1.5 km away from her house.
A case has been registered under IPC section 376 (rape), he said, adding that efforts are on to nab the accused, who is at large and further investigation is on.
