Woman stabbed to death; body recovered near canal in UP

A 28-year-old woman was stabbed to death and her body was recovered near a canal in Chauravan village here, police said today.
The victim, identified as Sudha Yadav, went out yesterday after receiving a phone call. Her body was later recovered near a canal here under Bhimpura police station, ASP G C Goswami said.
The married woman, who had been living with her husband and in-laws in Mau district, came to the village to appear for her M A examination, he said.
A case has been lodged in this connection and all angles including the role of her husband are being investigated, Goswami said.

There are stab marks on the body as the victim was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon. The body has been sent for post-mortem, police said.
