Woman suffocated to death in fire in house

An 85-year-old woman was suffocated to death and her husband seriously injured when a a fire broke out in their house, police said today.
The incident took place in Anand Vihar late last night.
The deceased has been identified as Swarnkant Khosla and her husband Jagmohan is undergoing treatement in a hospital.
The couple were sleeping in their bedroom in their house when the fire had broken out apparently due to a short circuit.
The room was filled with smoke. Their son rushed them to hospital where doctors declared Swarnkant dead.
