The woman, aged 30, was mentally challenged and was under psychiatric treatment for the last six-seven years, following the death of her father in 2010, police said.
Her marriage had also broken and so far police have ruled out that she was murdered, they added.
Prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide or a case where she died since she was out in the cold for a long time, police said.
According to officials, she was in the habit of leaving her house and when she did it this time, her family did not report the matter to police.
It was only after her pictures were circulated that her family members came forward and identified her, they said.
