Women outnumber men in five assembly constituencies

: Women voters outnumber men in five of the 10 Assembly Constituencies in Coimbatore district, as per the updated electoral list released today.
Mettupalayam has 1,29,684 female voters as against 1,27,112 male, Sulur 1,31,156 female to 1,30,137 male, Kinathukadavu 1,34,944 to 1,34,333, Pollachi 1,04,808 to 1,01414. Valparai has 92,960 female voters to 89,618 male voters.
In total there are 26,01,838 voters in 10 assembly constituencies, in which 13,00,164 are male and 13,00,164 are female and 81 'others', the roll released by District Collector Archana Patnaik, said.
Singanallur topped with 15 'other' voters, followed by Thondamuthur 13, Mettupalayam 11, Coimbatore South 10 and least three in Valparai.

Koundenpalayam has highest 1,88,879 male and 1,85,446 female, Coimbatore North 1,41,181 male, 1,37,42 female, Thondamuthur 1,36,735 male 1,35,431 female, Coimbatore South 1,13,724 male to 1,12,761 female and Singanallur 1,38,470 men and 1,35,550 female.
