The Lucknow bench of the HC permitted the petitioner to file objections against it, if any, within a week thereafter and fixed March 16 as the next date of hearing in the matter.
A division bench of justices Imtiyaz Murtaza and Ritu Raj Awasthi passed the order on a PIL filed by social activist Nutan Thakur seeking direction for a CBI probe in the matter.
On behalf of the state government, Advocate General Vijay Bahadur Singh, AAG Bulbul Godiyal and Chief Standing Counsel I P Singh appeared before the court and informed that the state government has constituted a judicial commission which is also empowered to recommend this matter to CBI, if necessary.
A notification dated February 10 to this effect was produced on behalf of the state government before the court which directed that it be filed through a supplementary affidavit within a week.
The petitioner may file her objections against it thereafter, the bench ruled.
The petitioner alleged that the state government did not want CBI probe in the matter and that is why a judicial commission was constituted.
She said that earlier she had filed a supplementary affidavit before the court giving facts, including details of various alleged false companies set up by Yadav Singh to siphon off illgotten money.
