Private sector lender Yes Bank today announced the appointment of former telecom secretary Rentala Chandrashekhar as a director.
The shareholders would consider the appointment of Chandrashekhar as an independent director on the board of the bank at the ensuing Annual General Meeting, Yes Bank said in a statement.
It also appointed Pratima Sheorey as director with effect from April 26, 2018.
Sheorey was a full-time faculty at SCMHRD as associate professor in the Department of Marketing from July 2007 till April 2013 as well as visiting faculty from June 1999 till January 2001, it said.
Chandrashekhar has extensive experience in IT and telecom sectors and was the president of NASSCOM.
"Under his leadership, NASSCOM strengthened its position as a leading voice of the industry in the wake of rising scale, diversity and transformation in the IT-BPM industry in the country," it added.
