A 25-year-old Austrian farmer had his head sliced off when he apparently tried to fix a piece of farm machinery, police said today.
His gory remains were found by his grandmother, the police added.
The incident happened when the man was using the block cutter attached to his tractor to chop up feed for his calves late yesterday near Groebming in central Austria, police spokesman Wolfgang Braunsar said.
"We believe at present that this was an accident, possibly because of a technical problem with the machine," Braunsar told AFP.
