A clash broke out between two groups over some issue yesterday evening which two policemen posted with the crime branch, Jitendra and Balbir, also joined in, SP (Baghpat) Ravi Shankar Chavi said.
Later, the clash turned violent as firing took place and one Farid who suffered bullet injuries died while being rushed to a hospital, he said, following which family of the deceased staged a protest and police had to rush to control the situation.
