Gurgaon Police control room got an information on November 27 that two minor girls aged around 10 and 12 have been abducted in a car from Ghari village, located on Gurgaon-Pataudi road, a police spokesperson said.
Police swung into action and formed a high-level team consisting Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ramesh Pal, Nodal Officer for Crime Against Women Usha Kundu, DCP (West) Women Cell in-charge Raj Bala, Station House Officer Jagdish Rai and advocate Anju Rawat.
Niwas, who lives in Gurgaon's adjoining Jhajjar district, has confessed to the crime.
Police have registered an FIR against Ram Niwas under various sections of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
He will be produced before the Judicial Magistrate, Gurgaon tomorrow for further proceeding, police said.
