Police yesterday arrested Pradeep, a resident of Bhatsana village near Dharuhera, who allegedly promised to marry a girl (22) of Chillarh village, about 15 km from here and then brought her from Chillarh to Dharuhera where he allegedly raped her on February 13, an official said.
Later when Pradeep declined to marry her, she made a complaint yesterday following which police registered a case of rape, abduction and criminal intimidation against Pradeep, he said.
The girl has been sent for medical examination, he said.
