Youth arrested for raping polytechnic student

A youth has been arrested in connection with the rape and suicide of a polytechnic student in Khatkar village here, police said today.
The girl student committed suicide on Wednesday by consuming poison and in the suicide note she had named eight people for abetting her suicide, they said.
She accused the arrested youth Kapil of raping her, police said.
Kapil's father and uncle, also named in the suicide note, were arrested on Wednesday, they said.
However, Kapil's family members have denied the rape allegation saying that the girl was in a relationship with Kapil since one-and-a-half years.
Meanwhile, Khatkar village head Rajendra today met Narwana DSP Adarsh Deep and demanded a fair investigation into the matter.
