Youth arrested for robbery, snatching cases in East Delhi

Police has arrested a 25-year-old youth for his alleged involvement with a gang in several cases of robbery and snatching in East Delhi.
The accused, Nitin Singh was nabbed by a crime branch team of Delhi Police yesterday from near Ramleela ground, Vivek Vihar following a tip off.
"In the recent days, there was spurt in incidents of cash, mobile robbery and snatching in the area of East Delhi and NCR. Investigation revealed that Nitin along with his associates was involved in these cases. On a tip off, a trap was laid and the accused was apprehended yesterday," said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav.

The accused was wanted in a robbery case of Vivek Vihar, in which two of his associates have already been held, police said.
"The gang used to consume a concoction of drugs before committing crime. The drugs provided them kick and the impulse to go to any extent for illegal gains," said Yadav.
