According to the complaint filed by the girl's mother, their neighbour, Rohit had barged in their residence in Vasundhara here last night and threatened them with dire consequences for not marrying her daughter to him, Indipuram SHO Gorakh Nath Yadav said.
The family later raised an alarm following which the neighbours caught hold of Rohit and handed him over to the police, Yadav said.
The girl told the police that she had filed a complaint in against the youth but a compromise was reached after his father assured that no such incident will occur in future, he said.
