The youth (24), a resident of Bulandshahr, called the 20-year-old girl, hailing from Sonia Vihar, to the railway station yesterday but the girl's family members got to know about their alleged affair and foiled their bid to elope, they said.
The girl has been rescued, police said, adding the youth was arrested last evening and a case registered against him.
According to the family members, the youth allegedly lured the girl into marrying him by concealing his actual religion on a social networking site, they said.
