Youth arrested for trying to rape minor

A youth was today arrested for allegedly trying to rape a minor girl, police said here.
According to a complaint filed by the girl's mother, Haider had tried to rape her 9-year-old daughter yesterday, they said.
The minor was playing outside her house when she went missing, the complaint said.
Later, the mother found Haider attempting to rape her daughter in a room built outside their house. The accused managed to flee from there.
A case has been registered under Prevention Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) act against him, police said.
In another incident of attempt to rape, police have registered a case against one Rajesh for allegedly trying to rape a 17-year-old girl here.

According to a complaint filed by the girl's family, Rajesh tried to rape their daughter when she was alone in her house yesterday and threatened her of dire consequences when she resisted, police said.
Police have initiated a probe in the matter and no arrest has been made so far.
