A youth here has been booked for allegedly threatening a girl of dire circumstances after she refused to accept his marriage proposal.
The girl, a resident of Parvatiya Colony here, alleged that on April 16, the youth Akash stopped her and misbehaved when she was on her way for some work, police said.
Akash, whom she knew since her college days, followed her when she decided to return back to home and after finding her in a secluded place, he threatened to throw acid on her face if she refused to accept her marriage proposal.
A case in the matter has been lodged in this connection and further investigations are on, they said.
