"Youth Congress activists marching towards the house of local MP and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to protest against Modi government's failure to fulfil its promises, specially controlling prices, when the police used water cannons to stop them near the YC office," state unit president of the Youth Congress, Ankit Parihar said.
Police forcibly stopped the activists, and even the female protestors were not spared. There were no women constables were present at the spot, Parihar, who led the protest, alleged.
Other party leaders who were present in the protest include - senior leader Naseeb Pathan (MLC), Srinivas and Umashankar (general secretary and secretary of Indian Youth Congress), Parihar added.
