Youth crushed to death in hospital by elevator

A 21-year-old youth from Haryana was killed after being crushed to death by an elevator in a private hospital here, police said.
The incident occurred late last night when Satish, a resident of Palwal district, had come to the private hospital for his mother's operation, they said.
Satish had left his mother's room on the third floor of the hospital to get medicines from the medical store on the first floor. When he pressed the button, the door opened but the elevator did not arrive, police said.
He looked inside the shaft and at the same moment the elevator which was stuck between the third and the fourth floor fell down on him and crushed him, they said.

The victim's brother has accused the hospital director of negligence and demanded registration of an FIR against him in a complaint to the police, they added.
Police is investigating the allegations.
