A youth was killed and another injured in firing by security forces on a stone pelting mob in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir today, officials said.
Army personnel allegedly opened firing on a mob of stone pelters at Akhran in Kulgam this evening, resulting in injuries to two persons, the police officials said.
They said one of the injured later succumbed to injuries. The deceased was identified as Aijaz Ahmad, they said.
A defence spokesman said details of the incident were being awaited.
