The body of Surendra was found yesterday from a forlorn area near CSD canteen in Vijay Nagar area bearing a slit mark on its throat, they said.
Surendra worked at a private company here and was living with his wife in a rented house at Gali No 3 of Sector 9, the Station House Officer (SHO), Vijay Nagar police station, said.
According to victim's brother-in-law Dharmendra, Surendra's had lent Rs 60,000 to a friend Pradeep who had called him up yesterday to repay the money, the SHO said.
