Youth garlanded with shoes for illicit relation with woman

A 24-year-old youth was garlanded with shoes by villagers for having alleged illicit relations with a married woman of a village here.
"When the villagers came to know about the relations of the youth with the woman they brought them to village Chaupal," police said.
"The villagers allegedly thrashed him and later put a garland of shoes round his neck," they added.
The villagers later took the youth and the woman to a religious place and forced them to beg pardon, police said.
A complaint was lodged on Wednesday against four persons in connection with the incident, police said.
Notably, the video of the youth being thrashed by the villagers has gone viral on social media, police said.
